Strength & Dignity: A Proverbs 31 Woman {Part 12}

In part 12 of this series we look at verse 21.  The verse says: She does not worry about her family when it snows, because they all have fine clothes to keep them warm.  The Proverbs 31 wife is prepared for all seasons.  She makes sure her family is well taken care of.  She has everything her family needs for the change in seasons.  She doesn’t have to scramble around at the last minute to make sure she has everything.

Strength & Dignity: A Proverbs 31 Woman {Part 11}

In part 11 of this series we look at verse 20.  The verse says: She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.  Not only does the Proverbs 31 wife care for her own family, but she also cares for those in need.  She manages her home and finances wisely so that she is more able to give and help those who are not as fortunate.

Strength & Dignity: A Proverbs 31 Woman {Part 10}

In part 10 of this series we look at verse 19.  The verse says: In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers.  In this verse the good wife is spinning her own thread.  In those days a woman had to make the clothes for her family.  You can bet that she didn’t have to worry about a cluttered closet!

Strength & Dignity: A Proverb 31 Woman {Part 9}

In part 9 of this series we look at verse 18.  The verse says: She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night.  I know you are probably thinking, how in the world does the Proverbs 31 woman get up really early, do all her work, and then go to bed late.  Remember that she did not do all these things in one day.  They were things she did over her lifetime.

To not fall into a depressed state of mind.  I promise that you can find happiness and fulfillment while managing your career, home, and motherhood.  You have to be willing to grow, change, evolve, and put in some work in order to get the life you long for.

Strength & Dignity: A Proverb 31 Woman {Part 8}

In part 8 of this series we look at verse 17.  The verse says: she sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.  The good wife is a hard worker.  She does her work well.  She rolls up her sleeves and gets things done.  She does not take her tasks lightly.  This reminds of  Colossians 3:23: In all the work you are doing, work the best you can. Work as if you were doing it for the Lord, not for people.

Strength & Dignity: A Proverb 31 Woman {Part 7}

In part 7 of this series we look at verse 16.  The verse says: She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.  So the good wife is also a business woman.  She is careful to invest her money wisely so that it can provide income for her family.  The good wife has good business sense.  I wonder if it was her dream to own a vineyard?  I know we all have our own dreams and aspirations, and maybe we feel like we don’t have the time or money to accomplish them.  The timing just might not be right.
