In April of this year, I decided to start an Arbonne business.  Before you roll your eyes about another direct sales company, hear me out.  I had been using Arbonne products for months before I decided to join as a consultant.  I had ZERO interest in doing the business side of this.  I loved the products and just wanted to continue using them as a client.  As I continued to use the products, I just fell in love with them even more.  I had used over 30 products before I even became a consultant, so I knew they were legit.  I was seeing AMAZING results with the products and was already sharing with all of my friends, so I figured I might as well get paid for it.  You never  know until you try something, so I figured if it didn’t work out then oh well but at least I tried.

Being Busy Does Not Equal a Full Life

In today’s world, it seems like everyone strives to be busy, to keep a full calendar, and to over commit themselves.  Everyone is overwhelmed, stressed, and missing out on what really matters.  This is not how you live a full life.  Having a full life does not mean you are constantly busy.  Having a full life means that you make time for things that matter most to you, and get rid of everything that is not essential.

Southern Hospitality

The South is known for its hospitality and friendly people.  Everybody waves when they pass you in the road whether they know you or not.  Porches are necessities, and we always welcome friends and neighbors to stop by.

We love a good potluck or pig pickin, because a southern woman is always looking for an opportunity to show off her cooking skills.  One thing that I have learned over the years is that hospitality doesn’t have to be a big showy deal.  It is nice every now and then to have a big barbecue and invite the whole neighborhood, but on a everyday basis hospitality isn’t that big of an ordeal.

Self-care is so so important, and I really realized this after becoming a mama.  Most of the time we mamas let ourselves become last priority, and don’t take care of ourselves like we should.  We get overwhelmed and exhausted which can lead to us becoming irritable and unpleasant to be around.  We need to make sure we are taking care of ourselves so that we can better take care of our families.
